The Chairman and Members of Cowden Parish Council are saddened at the news of the death of His Royal Highness, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. The Parish Council mourns the loss of His Royal Highness and expresses its deepest condolences to Her Majesty The Queen.
Due to the current lockdown restrictions, the Parish Council will not be opening a book of condolence, but suggests that members of the public wishing to leave a message of condolence sign the online book of condolence available on the Buckingham Palace website www.royal.uk.
In line with official guidlines from Buckingham Palace and Lambeth Palace, Cowden Church will be tolling the bells at 12 noon Saturday April 10th along with as many towers as possible joining in.
Cowden Parish Council holds at least seven meetings a year. Planning Committee meetings are held on an as required basis. *The timing and agenda is posted on the Parish Council notice board for the respective meeting.
Members of the public are welcome to attend meetings. Make a difference – be part of the community. Any organisations with an association to Cowden village who would like information included on the website are invited to contact the Clerk.
