Setting Kent Police’s priorities – can you help provide get local views?

Our Police Crime Commissionaire (PCC Matthew Scott) has launched this year’s Annual Policing Survey. This exercise helps the Kent Police Crime Commissionaire set the priorities for the Chief Constable in Matthew Scott’s Police and Crime Plan, and to hold the Force to account on issues relating to crime and antisocial behaviour.

Please help set Kent Police Priorities by completing the Survey, which you can find at CLICK HERE

The Parish Council successfully lobbied for and obtained a reduction in the speed limit for the B2026 within the Parish. The Parish Council has succesfully challenged the national speed limit that has always operated through the village via Kent Highways with a proposed scheme to reduce the limit to 30mph through the village. The reduced speed limit was introduced in March 2013.

Compliance, irrespective of speed limit signage, is a different aspect that is the responsibility of the driver.  Where a specific issue has been raised to the Parish Council then speed limit enforcement has been undertaken via a request to Kent Police. However, action can also be achieved through the following bodies by members of the Community:
